The “Big Bang” was a dud. It never happened.
The telescope sees images from the past but since light does not disappear until its energy is absorbed by matter, images of objects will keep traveling through the universe even after the objects themselves have ceased to exist. With a telescope we see multiple images of the same objects as those images travel various distances bending around the universe. How can we see images of galaxies colliding when if the galaxies were traveling at the speed of light, the collision would last for centuries? What /we see is the images of two galaxies passing over each other.
New technologies, like the Webb telescope, show us how our beliefs are wrong while old technologies, like accelerators, keep telling us what we believe is right.

Galaxies do not travel at the speed of light. Webb is not new technology – it is the largest telescope of its type – we need one even larger. The jury is still out on what these 6 galaxies mean that Webb has identified. The CMB …Cosmic Microwave Background ….is evidence of the Big Bang. Webb needs to identify more galaxies than just 6 being so large for their age. The Universe is so vast that it is almost certain that there are many planets similar to earth….out there….not seen since the distances are so vast.

        Hi T.C.,
So what you are saying is that in order to see a galaxy that is 100,000 light years in diameter pass through another galaxy during a collision we should have to wait thousands of centuries instead of the present short elapse time.
I believe the background noise cited as proof of the Big Bang was actually evidence of a defective radio telescope
It is the positioning of the Webb satellite, away from all interference and background noise, that is its most useful attributed, not its size. We had radio telescopes that could see further into space than any infrared telescope but they could not be isolated from interference.

No, the original radio telescope that detected the CMB was not defective – they just found it hard to believe that microwaves were pouring in from every direction. The CMB is still being studied- it has a cool area which is where the largest structure in the Universe exists – the “structure” is actually a huge hole billions of light years across which is very empty. It is decades away but some time in the future they will put gravity wave detectors in space that will be more sensitive than the ones on earth…that could produce some revelations about the Big Bang.

The next time they tell you “the science is settled” you simply ask “have you stopped learning?” because the more we learn the more we realize how much more we do not know!
So, is the big bang theory kaput? It is as much kaput as any other theory on how the universe started they simply do not know! So, “On the first day God created light” has as more credibility than other theories, at least you know who, how, and when!!
