In this video, Russell Brand speaks to Calley Means, a whistle-blower and activist who exposes corruption in Big Food and Pharma.
Calley explains how Medical schools in the US like Harvard and Stanford put nearly 50% of their income in Big Pharma somehow and this means that 90% of doctors in America graduate without taking a single nutrition class. Looking further down the line, this means there are surgeons out there like Calley’s sister, Casey who have no idea why their patients are sick and dealing with reoccurring problems that in fact, have very simple solutions. He goes on to explain from a personal perspective that 80% of his sister’s curriculum was on pharmacology.
After the death of his mother from pancreatic cancer, Calley and his sister found that this type of cancer was highly linked to pre-diabetes and his mother was one of the 50% of Americans diagnosed with pre-diabetes. Through this discovery, they realised that they were being lied to by Big Food and Big Pharma who profit from making us ill and then treating those illnesses.
