Is Belief In A ‘Climate Crisis’ Rational?
The climate crisis, as it is called, has caused huge upheaval in the world, both practically and mentally.
It has created a state of stress in the times we live in, not least in children and young people.
It has led to a misanthropic outlook on life, which allows our welfare to be de-prioritised, and has major economic consequences.
The climate crisis is causing a deterioration in our energy supply, due to conversion to so-called renewable energy. But is the climate crisis even rational?
The atmosphere consists of approx. 400ppm CO2, i.e. approx. 0.04 percent of the total atmosphere. It is estimated by the IPCC that approx. one percent of the atmosphere’s CO2 content is emitted by humans, the rest is natural.
This means that people with CO2 emissions are responsible for approx. 0.0004 percent of the atmosphere’s total gas composition. It is hard to imagine that this can have any effect on the climate.
It is known that CO2 is not the primary reason why the atmosphere can retain heat. Water vapour is the main cause. The IPCC’s 102 CMIP-5 climate models, on average, exaggerate the warming in the 21st century by 250 percent.
The climate models are based on feedback, where CO2 should increase the amount of water vapour in the atmosphere and thereby the temperature.
But such feedback is inconsistent with the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics, and is according to geologist and professor Ian Clarke never documented, either in recent times or on a geological timescale.
Quote:
“There is no geological evidence that CO2 has behaved in the past as a significant forcing mechanism for climate. […]” (Prof. Ian Clarke, Canadian Senate Hearing, December 2011).
There are no thermodynamic processes that allow the atmosphere to increase the temperature of its own heat source (the Earth’s surface).
Heat distribution is what happens in reality not temperature increase, and as John Christy’s graph reveals, this feedback is not seen in reality.
Furthermore, it is known that the atmosphere’s heat absorption is exponentially decreasing as CO2 increases. This means that the effect of atmospheric CO2 saturation is relatively large when increasing from 0 – 100ppm, but almost non-existent when increasing from 400- 800ppm (3 W/m2).
This physics was founded in the middle of the 19th century by Max Planck and Karl Schwarzchild. Human-caused CO2 has virtually no effect on climate.
This is confirmed in several scientific studies, including by Ned Nicholov and Karl Zeller’s calculations (Exact Formulas for Estimating the Equilibrium Climate Sensitivity of Rocky Planets & Moons to Total Solar Irradiance, Absorbed Shortwave Radiation, Planetary Albedo and SurfaceAtmospheric Pressure, Ned Nikolov, Ph.D. and Karl Zeller, Ph.D. 2022).
The temperature of the atmosphere relates to the three gas parameters; pressure, molar mass and density, not to the composition of the atmosphere. The Earth’s temperature is a result of Insolation and atmospheric pressure (Robert I. Holmes, Thermal Gradients on Planetary Bodies and the Molar Mass Ideal Gas Law 2018).
The idea of man-made climate change is a hypothesis that has never been proven scientifically, and there is no evidence for the claimin the scientific literature. It is quite elementary that an increase in CO2 has a beneficial effect on plant growth.
Plants grow optimally at 2000ppm, photosynthesis ceases below 200ppm and plants die below 150ppm CO2 saturation.
All life on Earth is carbon-based, and CO2 is the most important distribution of carbon existing. CO2 is therefore absolutely necessary for sustaining life, and from a geological perspective, the atmosphere is actually in asignificant deficit of CO2 (Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, Fake Invisible Catastrophes).
It is known that there is a close correlation between solar activity and climate, and that this is the primary cause of climate change (Svensmark, Shaviv et al.). In contrast, there is no correlation between CO2 and global temperature.
There are a number of other interesting astronomical conditions that supposedly cause the earth to move in and out of ice ages.
Among other things, the tilt of the earth’s axis and the earth’s change between elliptical and oval orbit around the Sun have a significance on along-term timescale (Milankovitch cycle).
Our location in the Milky Way is important, and in addition, volcanic activity has a slight cooling effect on the climate. We live in an interglacial period that lasted approx. 12,000 years (the Holocene period). In this interglacial, we move in and out of warm and cold periods, in something like 800 – 1000year intervals.
During warm periods, civilizations arise and thrive, while cold periods bring about a kind of crisis (Geologist, Gregory Wrightstone, Inconvenient Facts). The warm period we have enjoyed since the Little Ice Age is called the modern warm period. The modern warm period is the coldest warm period in the Holocene period, i.e. in approx.12,000 years (according to the GISP2 ice core drilling).
The modern warm period is indicated on the right of the graph, and the present-day temperature is illustrated by the green line. The Ice Age is on the left. (GISP2 data, Global Cooling is here, Prof. J. Easterbrook)
Since the Little Ice Age, which was the coldest time in the Holocene period, the globe has warmed approx. 1.5 degrees in about 200 years.
This rate of warming is entirely to be expected, and not extreme compared to the Medieval Warm Period, the Roman Warm Period, or the Minorian Warm Period.
There are no extreme conditions that apply regarding the Earth’s climate. Nothing abnormal has happened, nothing is wrong.
There have been climate changes throughout the history of the planet, they are not man-made, and there is no catastrophe ahead.
The climate crisis has no rational justification, and scaring children and young people with climate doomsday prophecies is in no way morally responsible.
The climate agenda benefits no one but the political and economic elite.
On the contrary, it is to the great detriment of our energy supply and our society as a whole.

Yes!…you are believing in the fear and propaganda, not the truth.

‘The Right Stuff’ Martin. Kudos! Temp changes. I’m at 43N 79W and temps were @ ~-12C on the 24th. 6 days later, the 30th, we’re at +13C. Normal change.
