Tornadoes hit two Chinese provinces killing 12 injuring hundreds

Two tornadoes ripped through China’s central city of Wuhan and a town in the eastern province of Jiangsu, killing 12 people and injuring hundreds while destroying homes and property, the official Xinhua news agency said on Saturday.

Eight people were reported dead in Wuhan, in Hubei province, with 280 injured after Friday’s tornado ripped through the district of Caidian at 8:39 p.m., the agency said.

The tornado toppled 27 houses and damaged 130 more, as well as two tower cranes and 8,000 sq. m. (86,111 sq. ft) of sheds at construction sites, it added.

I’ve grown up in Wuhan and I’ve never seen anything like it,” one resident of the city posted on China’s Weibo app. “There’s been so much extreme weather recently.

Another tornado struck the town of Shengze, in the Suzhou area of tornado-prone Jiangsu province, killing four people and injuring 149, Xinhua said.

Fire officials said the winds damaged electricity facilities and toppled several factory buildings, it added.

Tornadoes often hit Jiangsu in the late spring and early summer.

China’s commercial hub of Shanghai, 100 km (62 miles) from Suzhou, was also hit by powerful thunderstorms, prompting weather officials to declare an alert.

More heavy storms were expected in Shanghai and other parts of the Yangtze river delta region later on Saturday, the state weather forecaster said.

China faces more extreme weather as a result of climate change, Jia Xiaolong, an official of the forecaster, told reporters late in April, adding that the risk of disasters such as heat waves and floods was expected to rise in coming years.

The fury of an atmospheric plasma induced non fixed spindle electric motor seeking electromagnetic equilibrium between earth surface and lower layer of storm cloud.

What is worse? Being struck by a tornado or being struck by lightning? As cloud to earth lightning and tornados are differing manifestations of the same energies and I have lived through neither tornado or direct lightning strike I leave it up to the reader to decide.

    ” . . . non fixed spindle electric motor seeking electromagnetic equilibrium . . .”

    James:
So, an electric motor just appears in the sky? Really? Can you explain the physics of how this is possible? Also, you use the word “plasma.” What is the chemistry of your plasma? What is its temperature?

In science words have meaning. Effects have causes. And causal processes can’t just be manifested out of thin air.

Hi James. Can you stop the disingenuous garbage. It is not MY plasma. Challenge the hypothesis rather than abuse the messenger.

If you have a specific with which to attempt to debunk a simple concept I have tabled, go for it.

Also to ask what temperature is the plasma when we all know the atmospheric temperature varies both horizontally and vertically is more disingenuousness which is a polite term for dishonesty.

May I suggest to any curious readers to google “plasma” and wikipedia or some other scientist will have some fairly basic specifics of a plasma explained. One of the properties of plasma is electrical conductivity.

I would suggest the existence of lightning strongly supports atmospheric plasma science as well as the Lenard Effect, charged particles of Solar wind effect, charged galactic cosmic rays effect, and the fact that electric charge variation of the earth can be measured and correlated in real time with solar activity variation.

There ain’t no wires from sun to earth. If you have a concept other than plasma then shows us the emperor’s new clothes.

    Have a really nice day

      James:
Plasma is essential to my model. The atmosphere has conduits (pipes) and these conduits deliver the low pressure of storms and their end nozzles shoot into the jet stream and are the means by which the jet streams maintain their momentum. The plasma of my model originates on moist dry wind shear boundaries and is the result of the surface tension properties of water.

The real problem with comprehension of my model is that humans have a dumbed down understanding of water.

It may be comforting to draw broad analogies. This is what you and Jerry do. And, unfortunately, this is what all humans do. But if you want to actually solve problems you have to deal with details.

Hi James and hopefully PSI Readers,

James: “But if you want to actually solve problems you have to deal with details.”

And one detail you refuse to accept is: Water molecules exist in the Earth’s troposphere!!! To explain the disappearance of liquid water on a desk top as water ‘evaporates’, you claim it is EASIER for a nano-particle of many, many water molecules is ejected from the liquid water’s surface than a single surface molecule.

Jerry, it’s convenient to assume water is simple. This planet is filled with millions upon millions of simple morons to whom for which convenience is their first and last consideration. It may be convenient to assume that when water becomes airborne it physical properties change. But this isn’t reasonable or rational. The fact that you and millions of other morons choose to believe that H2O nanodroplets cannot be so small as to be invisible when suspended in air does not mean anything at all. The world did not become round because people stopped believing it was flat.

    Hi MattH,

Very interesting!!! You are focusing upon what is termed a plasma and James seems to be questioning what a plasma actually is.

MattH: “I have lived through neither tornado or direct lightning strike I leave it up to the reader to decide.”

Neither have I because I am still alive!!! But I and my wife have been very close at different times. I was pumping water from our livestock when I heard the ‘crack’ of an electrical discharge and a pig squeaked. I never heard thunder because thunder is a shock wave moving through the atmosphere and there is nothing to reflect the shock wave back at me. The pig survived also.

My wife’s experience was I working at a property about ten miles from her and I had called her because the clouds I was observing were the ‘ugly’ green I I from experience know were associated with wind (100 mile/hour or more). When suddenly she heard a loud noise and headed to the basement. When she came up a portion of a new steel roof had been removed and disposed as one connected piece about 50 feet away on the other side of 30 foot high space trees which were not at all damaged. This was in a small city and no one except we and our neighbors knew there had been a ‘small’ tornado which had not touched to the ground but it did touch down to out roof. Amazing!!!

But back to the plasma. I am beginning to question if we yet really know have far the electrons are being removed from the atoms’ nuclei. For a cloud of 6.02 X10^23 positive charges, or negative charges must create an extremely huge electrostatic attraction when the electrons are being removed from that many atoms.

And a lighting bolt is visible evidence that such a removable does not exist for a very long time.

Something for people who use plasma’s to explain tornadoes to ponder. I can only state I do not understand tornados while at the same time I know that their PROPERTIES do exist.

    Have a good day, Jerry

    Hi MattH,

And I forgot, I and my parents were sleeping when a lighting bolt traveled down an eave brough drain pipe into our basement cistern and blow out an 8 inch thick concrete wall and my parents did not learn this happened until they went down to the basement in the morning. Yes, we lived where thunder routinely raddled the house windows during the summer.

    Have a good day, Jerry
