The American Journal of Medicine Now Recommends HCQ for COVID19
The American Journal of Medicine now (Jan. 2021) recommends Hydroxychloroquine, Azithromycin, and Zinc for the treatment of Covid 19 outpatients.
The irony is this is the treatment that former US President, Donald Trump promoted last year. The timing, right after the election, is interesting.

Abstract
Approximately 9 months of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavius-2 (SARS-CoV-2 [COVID-19]) spreading across the globe has led to widespread COVID-19 acute hospitalizations and death.

This article outlines key pathophysiological principles that relate to the patient with early infection treated at home. Therapeutic approaches based on these principles include 1) reduction of reinoculation, 2) combination antiviral therapy, 3) immunomodulation, 4) antiplatelet/antithrombotic therapy, and 5) administration of oxygen, monitoring, and telemedicine. Future randomized trials testing the principles and agents discussed will undoubtedly refine and clarify their individual roles; however, we emphasize the immediate need for management guidance in the setting of widespread hospital resource consumption, morbidity, and mortality.

Zinc Lozenges and Zinc Sulfate
Zinc is a known inhibitor of coronavirus replication. Clinical trials of zinc lozenges in the common cold have demonstrated modest reductions in the duration and or severity of symptoms.18 By extension, this readily available nontoxic therapy could be deployed at the first signs of COVID-19.19 Zinc lozenges can be administered 5 times a day for up to 5 days and extended if needed if symptoms persist. The amount of elemental zinc lozenges is <25% of that in a single 220-mg zinc sulfate daily tablet. This dose of zinc sulfate has been effectively used in combination with antimalarials in early treatment of high-risk outpatients with COVID-19.20
Antimalarials
Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is an antimalarial/anti-inflammatory drug that impairs endosomal transfer of virions within human cells. HCQ is also a zinc ionophore that conveys zinc intracellularly to block the SARS-CoV-2 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, which is the core enzyme of the virus replication.21 The currently completed retrospective studies and randomized trials have generally shown these findings: 1) when started late in the hospital course and for short durations of time, antimalarials appear to be ineffective, 2) when started earlier in the hospital course, for progressively longer durations and in outpatients, antimalarials may reduce the progression of disease, prevent hospitalization, and are associated with reduced mortality.22, 23, 24, 25 In a retrospective inpatient study of 2541 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, therapy associated with an adjusted reduction in mortality was HCQ alone (hazard ratio [HR] = 0.34, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.25-0.46, P <0.001) and HCQ with azithromycin (HR = 0.29, 95% CI 0.22-0.40, P <0.001).23 HCQ was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in 1955, has been used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide since then, is sold over the counter in many countries, and has a well-characterized safety profile that should not raise undue alarm.25,26 Although asymptomatic QT prolongation is a well-recognized and infrequent (<1%) complication of HCQ, it is possible that in the setting of acute illness symptomatic arrhythmias could develop. Data safety and monitoring boards have not declared safety concerns in any clinical trial published to date. Rare patients with a personal or family history of prolonged QT syndrome and those on additional QT prolonging, contraindicated drugs (eg, dofetilide, sotalol) should be treated with caution and a plan to monitor the QTc in the ambulatory setting. A typical HCQ regimen is 200 mg bid for 5 days and extended to 30 days for continued symptoms. A minimal sufficient dose of HCQ should be used, because in excessive doses the drug can interfere with early immune response to the virus.
Azithromycin
Azithromycin is a commonly used macrolide antibiotic that has antiviral properties mainly attributed to reduced endosomal transfer of virions as well as established anti-inflammatory effects.27 It has been commonly used in COVID-19 studies initially based on French reports demonstrating markedly reduced durations of viral shedding, fewer hospitalizations, and reduced mortality combination with HCQ as compared to those untreated.28,29 In the large inpatient study (n = 2451) discussed previously, those who received azithromycin alone had an adjusted HR for mortality of 1.05, 95% CI 0.68-1.62, and P = 0.83.23 The combination of HCQ and azithromycin has been used as standard of care in other contexts as a standard of care in more than 300,000 older adults with multiple comorbidities.30 This agent is well-tolerated and like HCQ can prolong the QTc in <1% of patients. The same safety precautions for HCQ listed previously could be extended to azithromycin with or without HCQ. Azithromycin provides additional coverage of bacterial upper respiratory pathogens that could potentially play a role in concurrent or secondary infection. Thus, this agent can serve as a safety net for patients with COVID-19 against clinical failure of the bacterial component of community-acquired pneumonia.31,32 The same safety precautions for HCQ could be extended to azithromycin with or without HCQ. Because both HCQ and azithromycin have small but potentially additive risks of QTc prolongation, patients with known or suspected arrhythmias or taking contraindicated medications or should have more thorough workup (eg, review of baseline electrocardiogram, imaging studies, etc.) before receiving these 2 together. One of many dosing schemes is 250 mg po bid for 5 days and may extend to 30 days for persistent symptoms or evidence of bacterial superinfection.

In its’ simplest form, this scenario is as typical as they come when speaking of manipulations of the few, intended to affect the many…the only difference is by the tools. So, is this “Fifth Generation Warfare”? Yes, new name as per the approach. So, what to do? All must DELETE themselves from the mix(system), yes, of the three things one can do in a confrontation(Fight, Join, Run-away); this is the run-away part, yet I emphasize ONLY TEMPORARILY. Third-person perspective allows OBSERVATION, and promotes over time, conservative thought due to calming, and thus a stronger path in action later on. How much later? That is impossible to delineate, and sadly probably taken into assumption by the perps who started this off…just cause for breaking/manipulating the comm channels by those. The average age of death for Covid was 81 years and with 2-3 other serious diseases. I doubt any miracle cures would have made any difference. It was political but without any serious effect on the majority of the population apart from the loss of jobs, suicide, patients who were unable to gain medical aid for cancer etc.

Richard, my 90 year old mother and myself survived covid 19 in December thanks to http://www.speakwithanmd.com and President Trump’s EO for the right to try. I had done enough research myself to know the protocol that President Trump referred to and promoted last year, (known as the Zelenko protocol) was safe and was showing success until vilified and cancelled by the media, anti Trump Governors and by many of the “medical community”…including these biased medical journals.. Because of this political bias, I could not find a local Dr who would prescribe HCQ, z pack and Zinc for us until I found Dr.Parker with speak with an md. Our recovery was nothing short of a miracle. 2 days and our symptoms were gone. I don’t use the term “miracle” lightly…my mother was at the end of 5 1/2 weeks of spastic colon with the resulting dehydration and nutritional deficits. She had lost 20 lbs during her illness and was dying. This “Miracle cure”…protocol…made all the difference in the world. She is regaining her health and continuing to bring light and joy into our lives. It is criminal that this “miracle cure” was denied to so many. Those who used it politically have blood on their hands. May God have mercy on their souls.

I go to South Texas every year. Went across the border and told the pharmacist I wanted all the meds for covid. Got HCQ, Azipac, Invectrem, 800mg. of ibuprofen and some type of injection if I were to have trouble breathing. Total cost was $119.00. Have not had to use it but I have it in case I do. I also work in a hospital and have had both shots. After the first one I felt like I had been kicked by a mule.

I beg your pardon. Many middle age people have died having no other conditions other than a lack of the HCQ 3 pac early on. I know of 2and 2 others somewhat older in excellent shape but no early treatment. They all just waited for intubation death warrant.

Two neighbors got the virus early on. One, by any criteria, should have died. He is obese, diabetic, and has had 2 previous heart attacks.
Both were in ICU and were given HCQ immediately. Both were out of ICU within 2 days. The one described above was out in his front yard 2 weeks later.
Try telling these fellows it does not work.

Hard to find them since it is such a rarity. The drug has been in use for 70 years without any questions about its safety.
You only think its dangerous because when Fauci discovered there was an effective treatment that would reduce his income from vaccines he had some of his cronies give patients on their death beds 6 times the maximum dose. Wonder why they didn’t recover.
You’d have far more luck finding people who have died from the vaccine and asking them if they wished they had used HCQ.

Notwithstanding your doubts, two of the three treatments mentioned above are associated with a reduced risk of mortality, which means fewer people died when these therapies were applied. Conversely it is likely that more people died when these therapies were not applied. Political leftists never let the well-being of citizens stand in the way of their acquisition of power.

I’m not sure how many watched Fox News last Sunday night (Sunday – Jan. 24, 2021). The Steve show did a very interesting take on Dr. Fauci and the Covid-19 Virus. Lots of shown facts.
Steve brought out facts that Fauci has been incidental in this virus development and came to life prior to 2011 (2011 is the year Obozo Administration Defunded the virus research in the U.S.). Just so it is brought out for the little it might be worth – someone in the Obozo regime knew of the danger of this virus.
Fauci at that time was in the government position that he was in when President Trump came into office. There are some other players at this time to, such as the CDC Labs. There are some other interesting takes (my thoughts) on events after 2011 they are as follows:
(1) The development/ research of this virus continued post 2011 and was moved to China’s Wuhan Lab. during this time frame under the direction of Fauci. (2011 – 2014).
(2) In 2014 Fauci managed to get $3 million plus dollars funded towards the ongoing research/ development of this virus (either through U.S. tax dollars with Obozo/ Biden approval and/ or private funding (Clinton Foundation/ Soros/ Gates/ or others).
(3) Development continued with the Fauci & W.H.O. driving the continued efforts.
(4) The desired end results was to develop this virus as a biological weapon and/ or a disease to obtain some sort of mass control of the local/ world population.
(5) Fox News has the documented evidence of Fauci’s involvement from day one.
The remainder is my thoughts on the events that have put us to where we are today.
(1) Fauci and his co-hearts/ comrades continue to further develop this virus with Biden/ Gates/ Amazon/ Soros/ China/ others driving the funding.
(2) When Former President Trump levied high tariffs on China’s products, the effects were hurting the China/ Communist economy.
(3) China through collaboration with various other players decided to “accidentally” release this virus through various human contacts.
(4) The collaborations from the U.S. side in my opinion (I do not have the ability to research the actual facts) is broad.
a) China could release this virus alone, but could not induce the spread without help they needed outside help. Although it was aimed at the U.S. & Trump, it was needed to be covered up such that it wasn’t singling out just the U.S.
b) In the U.S. the starting key players were Fauci (no need to worry about this virus – it is nothing more than a new Flu virus). Pelosi (we are celebrating China Town festival – no difficulties here). DNC — Biden and others (condemning then President Trump’s actions to curb the spread to alleviate public’s immediate concerns). Various State Governors sending Flu (Covid-19) infected patients to senior health/ care facilities to easily infect/ spread the virus as quickly, without any check, as possible. CDC assisting China, DNC, State Governors, and others by inducing fear through Main Stream News Media the death/ infection rates. CDC paying off Hospitals/ Health Organizations $77,000.00 per patient’s claimed Covid-19 deaths and $35,000.00 plus per Covid-19 hospital treatment case.
c) China along with other (in the U.S. Government ranks) were not able to inflict enough economic damage to the U.S. with just the virus spread elected to collaborate with DNC/ Biden/ Harris/ Various Governors/ Others including Antifa (foreign organization) BLM/ Dominion software generator decided financially and physically to create voting irregularities in the U.S. 2020 election to remove the “China/ Other heavy-handed tariffs/ sanctions”.
With the above being stated, in my opinion, all the U.S. Constitutional/ Rule of the Law/ America is Great believers need to stand together, investigate and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law any and all the bad players in this Covid-19 Development, Research, Distribution.
Starting with Doctor Fauci.

Here in western NC, a CVS pharmacist and I had a shouting match when she told me she wouldn’t fill a Rx for HCQ from an online doctor because it was “bad for me”. I told her the majority of drugs she dispensed were bad for people in one way or another and that she was not my doctor. This was in December. I eventually found a pharmacy and now take one 200mg HCQ tablet once a week. Maybe now that Joe is in it will be more available. Or will the covid power trip continue?

The article was originally published online Aug. 6, 2020 but it looks like it first appeared in print in January 2021. Note that the article’s title obscures HCQ. I wouldn’t exactly say the Journal recommends HCQ now. Certainly it wants to avoid any condemnation by powerful forces. Note that footnote 20 (click on it) cites a Zelenko paper https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pjgHlqI-ZuKOziN3txQsN5zz62v3K043pR3DdhEmcos/edit, the Zelenko who has been permanently suspended from Twitter – actually, now that the vaccine distribution is in full swing and Trump is out of office, they may allow him back so they can claim they DIDN’T permanently suspend him.
