Ozempic: Starving the Brain Into Early Dementia

Ozempic and similar GLP-1 drugs do not fix a broken metabolism or repair your relationship with food; they simply turn off hunger
When people cut their calorie intake in half while continuing to eat the same nutrient-void, ultra-processed junk, they do not achieve health. They engineer an internal famine.
The body burns fat, but the brain starves of the basic raw materials it requires to function.
In the transcript below, nutrition scientist Dr. Federica Amati exposes how this unmonitored micronutrient crash is already driving extreme clinical outcomes, from the return of scurvy to severe cognitive breakdown mimicking early-onset dementia.
The risk comes from nutritional deficiency. When people go on GLP-1s, the diet that led to the weight gain doesn’t improve—they just eat less of it.
And when that smaller amount of food is still junk food, the brain doesn’t get enough nutrients to thrive.
HOST: “You’ve also seen people lose the weight, come off it, get really hungry, and then find that inevitably they’re therefore going to put the weight on.”
AMATI: “They do. And often it’s quite a big proportion of the weight loss comes back on within the space of six to 12 months.”
HOST: “What about people who are just going to stay on the drug? They’re like, this is magic.”
AMATI: “I’d say it’s quite hard to take these drugs long term and not eat in a way that supports your gut and your body because you will get the side effects. If you have any intervention that restricts your food for very long periods of time, you always run into the risks of decreasing your resilience, your immune system really struggling, your brain health struggling, your lean mass or your muscles and your bones struggling.
“There was a patient in the UK who had scurvy, so bleeding gums, people couldn’t understand what was going on. He’d been taking these drugs without any support and just hadn’t been eating fruits and vegetables basically.
“There was a case study of a patient who had started to have really severe brain health issues. And the case report described this patient as possibly having early onset of dementia. And then they found out he was just like massively micronutrient deficient for his brain.
“If your dietary quality doesn’t improve on these drugs, then you are definitely going to run into an issue of complete undernourishment. So when you take these medications, every single meal counts more than if you weren’t taking them.”

Never mind the aftermath…just market these things like they are magical candy and worry about the consequences later after billions have been made in profits. This is how big pharma controls the FDA and makes billions on junk drugs.

I have used it with good results. You have to keep eating nutritious food, not just starve yourself. It helps people with Type II Diabetes. Not all shots, etc are Evil.
