The Throne of the Toddler and the Lie of Psychology
After hearing me expound (I may have been ranting) on the iniquities of clinical psychology—especially its profoundly destructive influence on American childrearing since the 1960s—a fellow asked, rhetorically, “There must be something positive that’s come from psychology, John…I mean…it can’t be all bad, right?”
I regard myself as an intellectually honest individual. I am not prone to emotionally-driven opinion, much less outburst (even my occasional rants are coherent and anchored solidly in fact). I generally examine both sides of an issue before arriving at a qualitative judgment.
Having established that I am a member of America’s Rational Caucus, hear me clearly: NOTHING of value has come from clinical psychology. It consists of NOTHING but falsehoods, fabrications, forgeries, fictions, and fakeries. Psychology is an evil enterprise. It is all bad. It inheres zero redeeming characteristics. (At some point in the future, I will tell you, faithful reader, what I REALLY AND TRULY think about it.)

Repeat after me:
“We have no unconscious, have no unconscious…; Sexuality is not that important, not that important…; We have no irrational defenses, no defenses…”.
