New nanotech research being undertaken by an international team of researchers at Tel Aviv University are exploring whether electric currents can be produced within the human body without the use of electrical devices, and instead through the activation of the body’s own organs. With the help of a new biological material similar to collagen, the researchers say that the body may be able to produce its own clean energy that can be used to power devices implanted within the body, which may no longer require batteries in the future.
